We are proud to introduce the first AVAD Podcast!

The AVAD Podcast is here to help consumers and business owners cut through all the noise in the media about home and business technology and enable them to make better decisions on what products to incorporate into their homes or places of business. This is a tool for our audience to get the most bang for their buck to find technolgies and solutions that best fit their lifestyle and needs.

AVAD System Design Team Busy At Work

It's such a nice feeling to help those in need. The AVAD System Design Group did it again! Here's what happened…

The Del Grande Dealer Group Capitol Volkswagen dealership in San Jose, Calif., recently decided to remodel its showroom and spice up its look with a brand new video wall and accompanying sound system.

Handling the installation would be no easy task, so the Del Grande Dealer Group turned to Jonathan Wright, owner of Elite Controls, Inc., a dealer of audio and video products.

The dealership was looking to create a visual and acoustic "Wow Factor", but since Mr. Wright was unfamiliar with this type of project, he reached out to Phil Parrish from AVAD's System Design team to get a better understanding of the most current options in designing a video wall and the elusive "Wow Factor" his client desired.

Mr. Wright knows AVAD is more than just a distributor. Its System Design group provides a full range of complimentary design services including needs analysis, bill of material specifications, AutoCAD drawings and more. Pretty darn handy, huh?

With the help of the AVAD System Design Group, the Elite Controls team was able to construct an intricate video wall worthy of any showroom's wall. The wall is made up of 16 Samsung televisions supported by a Middle Atlantic rack system and Peerless television mounts. It incorporates Niles in–wall speakers, Velodyne in–wall subwoofers and an RTI controller with in–wall and iPad function. The video wall also uses Key Digital HDMI splitters and converters, a Kramer HDMI switch, Pro Flex HDMIs, Gefen RS232 converters and an Onkyo A/V receiver.

Wright was blown away by the levels of experience, skill and level of commitment our design team brought to the table. After the job was complete, the Del Grande Dealer Group couldn't have been more pleased by the results. Elite Controls even received multiple referrals and acknowledgements from the dealership for their work, a nice bonus for a job well done!
